    Jason,

Dang, I will be cheering on my son at a wrestling meet that day.

If I mail a life-sized cardboard cutout of myself to the store will that count? I’ll include a pre-paid FedEx shipping box so you can send me my stuff.

Please make sure to take lots of pix and videos, then post them here so your virtual family can enjoy the virtual party!

Didn’t get a chance to talk to you as it was pretty busy and you were showing off the packs. Picked up the items I wanted to try on before buying. Shaun helped me out(mutual friend). Maybe we can hook up some other time soon.

  22. Paul Chrena Reply

Thanks Jason, but Cali is a bit to far from Indiana. Congrats!! I hope all goes well for KUIU. I can’t wait to order the gloves and belt so I have a complete system.

It would be great if KUIU had its own page/site/forum, what ever you would call it, for all of us to post photos and tell stories of our success while in KUIU camo/clothing. No need for everyone to stop chatting just because the product is on the market. It could be like the Widow wall… Just food for thought

    • Jason Hairston Reply

I like your Forum Idea. Let me talk to Eric about how to create a KUIU forum. I will keep you tuned on this. Thank you.

Jason, I love the concept behind the brand. Your feel for good product design and brand marketing are impeccable. The whole business model – from choosing and developing a differentiated product concept to brand build/momentum creation, thru to final execution/launch – would make a great MBA case study on how to start a small business.

I turned dozens of people on to Sitka in its early days and was elated when it hit the market (and from a fellow traditional bowhunter no less). I respect the risk you’ve taken and the time you’ve invested; if the KUIU gear performs as I expect it will, I’ll be a big advocate.

Thanks for pushing the envelope and best of luck.

    • Jason Hairston Reply

Thanks Jarrett, I appreciate the nice comments. A case study, that would be interesting on how all of this came together. Great people in the best market have so much to do with KUIU’s success.

Sorry I can’t make it. If it’s any consolation, the grand opening hunt for your gear will be a Spring 2011 Baranof/Kuiu Brown and Black bear spring hunt. So get that FedEx box to me in the next three weeks please.
Congrats on a fablulous product launch. I know there are still a few gear heads on the fence. Keep the momentum going and solid objective gear reviews commming.

    Jason,
Any ideas or thoughts about having some T-Shirts made with the Kuiu emblem or name… possibly in the accessories section of your site? I think it would be pretty cool to display the Kuiu name and emblem some how on just a cotton T-Shirt for just day-to-day wear! I would wear it!! Just curious! Congrats on the Big Grand Opening! Can’t wait to get my gear in! Thanks again!

    • Jason Hairston Reply

      Hi Shane,

Yes, they will be introduced at the Grand Opening. I will have them up on the site shortly after. 6 different designs, 3 different colors dark brown, bone & white. I appreciate the input and comments.

    Jason,
It was a pleasure meeting you on Saturday and talking with you about some of the hunting photos on your wall. My friend Chris and I arrived a little early and you took the time to come up to us and introduce yourself. I had been looking to getting a set of Merino base layers for a while and I’m glad I waited to buy them from you. I look forward to getting some more of your gear in the future. Your show room came out really nice. Thanks for the hat and for putting on a great event. Good to see a local company be a major player in the hunting market.
