I need your help to finalize sizing ratios for my Purchase Order for the Zamberlan boot order.

Even if you are not going to order the boot if you could please post your size anyways it would be SUPER helpful.

Thank you in advance for you help! I really appreciate it.

I will be doing a post next week with all the details of the boot including a video, price, delivery date and pre-order information.

Suggestion: Might try using Survey Monkey for some of your questions in posts. It would be easier for you to aggregate the data if you get any volume.

9.5 – I have the Zamberlan Ibex and the boot was great for climbing the New Zealand Alps hunting Tahr. Very little wearing in required. Comfortable, waterproof and withstood the sharp rocks and boulders. The new Kuiu boot should be just as good.

Please be careful of the Italian-cut toe box (sharp point). Most Americans have “square” toes and not as pointed as the Europeans.

Just two weeks ago I got in a new pair of Zamberlan Boots. I love them, but it looks like I will be giving them to my little brother so I can get a pair of these. Upgraded all my gear this year so come August I will be the envy of everyone in camp wearing KUIU gear from head to toe. Keep up the good work and I will for sure keep preordering.

Oh ya US Men’s size 9.

Why is a stiff sole/shank beneficial versus a more athletic styled shoe that is closer to a running sneaker? I understand for climbing faces in Alaska, but what about cover long distances and rolling hills, do you still recommend the shoe design? I have recently for the last few years been wearing the Cabelas Silent Stalker Sneaker but they do not last and the rubber sole is not nearly waterproof after a month of wear. Great job and the site and the products.

For rolling hills I would recommend a trail boot or a trail running shoe. The boot I developed with Zamberlan is designed for very steep technical terrain. A full shank boot creates a platform that will give you a solid edge when side-hilling or front-pointing up a very steep mountain. You can drive the toe of your boot into the mountain side and the shank will give you the support to push off. It gives you incredible traction. Plus a full shank eliminates foot soreness. Let me know if you have any other questions.
